VITAL gyms are open to members 24/7. We’re open to the public from 9am to 11pm, but only members can unlock the door at night to use the facility without staff running the show. The sense of trust and ownership this inspires is part of what makes the VITAL Community so exceptional.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Cleaning Crew is tasked with cleaning the VITAL facilities on a nightly basis. They play an integral role in making the gym and studio an inviting space where people choose to spend their time. We pride ourselves on avoiding the dirty climbing gym trope and our Cleaning Crew is the main reason we are able to do so. This is a part-time position, 4-5 hours per night, 2-3 nights per week.

The main role of the Cleaning Crew is to

  • Clean - First and foremost your job is to clean the gym, resetting it for the next business day.

  • Restock - Make sure all consumable products are restocked so that the gym never goes without.

  • Watch - While on duty you are expected to ensure all visitors are upholding the policies and values of VITAL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean the gym 2-3 nights per week

  • Wash gym and yoga studio laundry

  • Gather lost and found items from throughout the gym

  • Replace all consumable items such as soap, trash/compost bags, paper towels, etc.

  • Sweep, dry mop, and wet mop all hard flooring surfaces

  • Vacuum the climbing mats

  • Dust all items and surfaces

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience 

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Availability to work nights and weekends, this job must be performed during the slow hours of our 24-hour business (Between the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM)

  • A desire and ability to work independently

  • A keen understanding and feel for the VITAL mission, values, and culture
