THE POSITION

Event Staff and Crew Support is a part-time role responsible for facilitating a fun and safe experience for private weekend events, including but not limited to birthday parties. They will host up to two birthday parties every weekend day. In the event that there are no private groups on a weekend, the staff member will support the front desk staff by manning the front desk, helping customers, and cleaning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Host birthday parties and other private events in the gym on weekends

  • Teach private group attendees the basic techniques of bouldering and climbing safety for bouldering

  • Facilitate games and other guided activities for private group attendees

  • Operate Mindbody Online (POS System) for all sales and class check-ins

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all VITAL rules and operations

  • Be able to explain the basics of bouldering to any gym newcomers

  • Provide thorough and engaging tours of the gym’s programs and features

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with members

  • Foster a fun and uplifting community

  • Maintain a clean and welcoming gym

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Mindbody Online experience preferred 

  • The ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with management and staff

  • Experience bouldering

  • Experience in a similar position preferred

  • Experience working with children preferred
